Steps to modify params.conf in Scala JAR

Steps to modify the config file (params.conf) inside the JAR

1. Take backup of the existing Jar:
$ cp mydemo.jar mydemo_20160414.jar

2. Extract only the config file that you want to modify from the Jar:
$ unzip mydemo.jar “params.conf”

3. Edit the file using your favourite editor:
$ vim params.conf

4. Delete the old / existing config file from the Jar:
$ zip -d mydemo.jar params.conf

5. Add the new / modified config file to the Jar:
$ zip -g mydemo.jar params.conf

6. View the modified contents of the config file inside the Jar:
$ unzip -p mydemo.jar params.conf
